Keshena Falls - Visit Keshena Falls on Hwy 47/55 going toward Keshena. This is a gorgeous sight that has a rich history attached to it. In the past Sturgeon came up the Wolf River this far each spring to spawn, and many years ago the Menominee's would ride the falls in a canoe for a few coins from tourists. This was the area where the treaty of 1854 was signed by the U.S. government and Menominee Chiefs Osh-kosh and Ke-she-nah establishing the Menominee Reservation.


Shawano Lake - Shawano Lake, the largest lake in the county, with 6063 acres of water, is available for all types of boating, sailing, or for those who want to pull several water skiers. The local marinas have rental boats and skis available for your enjoyment! Shawano Lake is also one of the top fishing lakes in the State of Wisconsin and features muskie, northern, walleye, crappie, perch, and rock bass. 


Gresham Railroad Depot Museum - At this former railroad depot you can view telegraphers equipment, railroad lanterns, timetables, freight wagons and other railroad memorabilia.

Menominee Logging Camp Museum - This museum is home to the largest collection of logging artifacts in the world. You can tour a bunkhouse, cook shanty, old-time camp office, wood butchers shop, saw filers shack, blacksmith's shop and a scoop cedar roof shed. All the buildings are fully furnished with the tools and equipment used in the lumber camps of Northern Wisconsin. This site truly captures the feeling of the time period. There is an admission charged to view this museum.

Heritage Park Museum - This museum brings to life the history of the immigrants, lumberjacks and early farmers who settled this area of Wisconsin. It includes a variety of buildings and displays including a schoolhouse, a cheese exhibit building, a natural limestone building, and a Reception building full of local history. The tour guides are dressed in period costumes. You will journey back in history when you visit the John Kast house, built in 1871, and furnished with authentic 19th century furnishings. There is a variety of displays including ancient Native American bead-work. Remember to stop at the restored pioneer log cabin, where you can watch an old-fashioned cheese making demonstration.

Hayman Falls Park - Located on Pella Pond, a part of the Embarrass River, this park offers 30 acres of wooded biking trails, including a walk along the shoreline. The park also provides picnic tables, shelter and a playground. From Shawano, travel west on Hwy. 29 to Cty. U. Turn south and go two miles to Cty. M. Turn west and travel 2 1/2 miles to Cty. D. Turn west on D and travel two miles through Pella to Hayman Falls Road. Picnic tables, new shelter with flush toilets, hiking, nature trails, playground.


Mielke Park - This park offers visitors four nature trails for quit walks. Children can cast a line for pan fish in Mielke pond. The site also provides picnic tables and a playground. From the Shawano area turn off Hwy. 29 onto Cty. HHH, on the west side of Shawano. Turn north and continue 1 1/2 miles. Picnic tables, outhouses, nature trails, playground.


Sunset Island Park - Situated in the city of Shawano, this island park offers picnic tables, picnic shelter and a boat landing. Located two blocks off Hwy. 47/55 behind the Sheriff's Dept, the park is on the channel between the Wolf Riverand Shawano Lake. Picnic tables, picnic shelter, boat landing.


Voelz Lake Memorial Park - This park is popular for its swimming beach on Wilson Lake. Located on the western edge of the county, the park also provides picnic tables and shelter, cross-country ski trails, playground, boat landing. From the junction of 45 and 29 in Wittenberg, take Hwy. 29 west four miles to Nightengale Road. Turn south and go one mile to Oak Road. Turn west and go 1/2 mile to entrance. Picnic tables, picnic shelter, toilets, swimming, beach, playground, boat landing.


 Tigerton Historical Society Museum Complex - The museum complex includes a wood frame Methodist Church (later a church hall), the original Fairbanks Town Hall, a pioneer log cabin, and the Morris Farmer's Club bandstand. Museum displays and artifacts, detailing life in Tigerton in the early 1900s, include a school setting, parlor, bedroom, kitchen, laundry, toys, clothing, farming equipment and logging tools, and automotive exhibits. The museum is operated by the Tigerton Historical Society.

Langlade County Historical Museum - The Museum was originally dedicated In 1905 as the Antigo Public Library through a $15,000 grant from the Carnegie Foundation. It began a chapter as a museum when the library was moved to a new updated quarters in1997. The outstanding facility houses artifacts from the logging and Indian era, as well as handmade and early agricultural woodworking and lumbering implements. It also contains one of the finest archives in the northwoods complete with old scenes and pictures of the early days of Langlade County and the City of Antigo.

Unionville - Unionville is a collection of replica buildings that date back to the 1800's. There is a General Store, Black Smith, Harness Shop, Bank, Fire House, Church, Saloon, Print Shop, Feed Mill and Saw Mill. We also have the largest collection of operational Fairbanks Morris engines in Wisconsin. There are many antique tractors, equipment and related items that take you back to a time when things were simple.
